Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of travel experience required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience working with a patient ratio of 1:8 - Experience with electronic charting preferred Description: Behavioral Health Registered Nurses needed for an Adult Inpatient Unit. RNs will have a patient ratio of 1:8. Every other weekend shifts required. RNs may float within their scope as needed. Travel experience and 2 years of experience required. Skills required include the use of antianxiety, antidepressants, and antipsychotics. Knowledge of anxiety disorders, behavior management techniques, and bipolar disorder is essential. Candidates should be familiar with crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and managing assaultive behavior. Experience with medication administration and monitoring for self-injurious behavior is crucial. Knowledge of psychiatric disorders including depressive disorders and personality disorders is important. RNs must be proficient in the use of seclusion protocols and procedures. Telemetry monitoring skills are required. Candidates should be available to complete all necessary labs within 72 hours of accepting an offer.
