Preventative Maintenance Technician

Job Description Responsibilities: Participates in changeovers, machine PM, and repairs Spends 95% of time on the floor with the machines Understands and can relate the current status of all production machines on the floor Works closely with shift supervisor to maintain machines in safe, efficient and quality process Spends first 15 minutes of shift in meeting with Maintenance Supervisor to review PM schedule and assigned tasks for the day. Before departing, shift PM Lead will enter appropriate information in the PM Log, or other appropriate designated place and be responsible for all appropriate documentation. Experience making and replacing hydraulic hoses and valves. Working knowledge of servicing hydraulics and replacing hydraulic pumps Basic understanding of pneumatic systems Responsible for maintaining and adhering to established Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and Safety Quality Foods (SQF) compliance requirements. Responsible for adhering to Food Safety Compliance. Respond to any emergency or potential emergency. Security diligence, including maintaining control of door accesses, preventing unauthorized entry to the facility by non-Amcor employees and proper maintenance/security of Amcor equipment and information. Constant vigilance and participation in GMP and SQF practices. Complete all assigned tasks in an efficient manner and seek additional support when needed. Identify and record problems relating to product, process and quality systems. Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels. Suggest actions for continual improvement to products, processes or systems. Qualifications: 1. Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and to push / pull loads in excess of 100 pounds. 2. Ability to stand for eight hours minus breaks 3. Ability to operate fork lift 4. Ability to operated crane 5. Able to use both hands for effective manipulation of tools/parts.
