Details
The student overall focus will be on research activities in data analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling for complex systems, primarily related to sleep apnea diagnosis, physiological signal analysis, and data-driven health monitoring. Duties may include acquiring, organizing, preprocessing, and analyzing polysomnography (PSG) and related physiological datasets. Specifically, responsibilities may involve performing quality control and preliminary analysis of multi-channel sleep signals; developing or learning to use existing Python scripts for data processing, machine learning, and visualization; conducting literature reviews; and assisting with the preparation of figures, tables, presentations, and summaries for weekly research meetings.
Must be detail oriented and comfortable working independently. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in Industrial/Systems Engineering for the 2026 academic year.
