Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician

Best Line Equipment is currently seeking an experienced compact and/or heavy equipment Field Service Technician to join the team at our Keyport, NJ facility. This role is for field service technicians who enjoy problem-solving, independence, and variety in their workday while having the support of an experienced service team behind them.


Overview:

• Troubleshoot, repair, service, inspect, and maintain all types of construction, landscape, heavy, aerial, industrial, agricultural, and fleet equipment.
• Field Service technicians travel to job sites and customer locations to perform duties.
• Some on-call responsibilities may apply.
• Paid on-line and factory training benefits as well.

Requirements:

• At least two years' experience in comparable markets. (Troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing automotive, truck, construction, industrial, or agricultural equipment.)
• Must possess strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, computer skills, and strong electrical, mechanical abilities.
• Beneficial experience would include DC electrical, hydraulic, combustion, and associated skill sets.
• Ability to work with computers, schematics, repair manuals and warranty claims is an advantage.
• A high school diploma or equivalent industry experience will qualify.
• Starting pay rate dependent on experience and certifications.

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week with overtime potential during peak season.

Estimated annual compensation: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour (based on experience).
