Atrium is seeking on behalf of our client a Staff Accountant based in Miami Beach, Florida.

Compensation: $60,000 to $70,000

Our Florida client is a growing consumer services company in expanding into the South Florida market. They are looking for a Staff Accountant. They have different business lines and are continuing to acquire more opportunities.

Position Overview

\n

The Staff Accountant will utilize Excel strongly and will play a key role in managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and proactive in identifying process improvements. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards as Staff Accountant.
\n
• Excel usage : must be strong with Excel functions
\n
• General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, review and post journal entries, and monitor transactions for completeness and accuracy.
\n
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee AP/AR processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, vendor payments, and customer collections as Staff Accountant.
\n
• Month-end and Year-end Close: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, coordinating with other teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
\n
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to develop annual budgets and forecasts, monitor performance, and provide variance analysis as Staff Accountant.
\n
• Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to support decision-making, identifying trends and opportunities for cost optimization.
\n
• Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing tax returns and support audits, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and liaising with external advisors as needed.

Required Experience/Skills

\n

\n
• Minimum of 1 years of experience in full-cycle accounting.
\n
• Strong with Excel as Staff Accountant.
\n
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
\n
• Proficiency in full-cycle accounting, including financial reporting and month-end close.
\n
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
\n
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
\n
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
\n

Preferred Experience/Skills

\n

\n
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal as Staff Accountant.
\n
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
\n
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
\n
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills as Staff Accountant.
\n
• Experience in the consumer services industry is a plus.
\n

Education Requirements

\n
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
\n
• CPA certification or progress toward CPA is a plus.
\n
• Continuing education in accounting or finance preferred.
\n
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance standards as Staff Accountant.
\n
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
\n
