Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct segments of treatment programs designed to restore and improve physical, social and mental functions, aligned with department objectives.
• Serve as co-leader in an interdisciplinary approach to patient groups.
• Assess patient status, implement and adjust therapy plans, and document progress and outcomes per department guidelines.
• Deliver a range of PT interventions, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and neuromuscular re-education, while ensuring patient safety.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and participate in discharge planning and caregiver coaching.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
• Active California physical therapy license or eligibility to practice in California
• Ability to work in an inpatient care environment
• 1+ year of physical therapy experience; hospital inpatient experience preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to support interdisciplinary care
