The role you'll contribute:

The Cardiovascular Sonographer performs adult and geriatric echocardiography and assists physicians with transthoracic and stress echocardiography. Performs vascular ultrasound to include venous Dopller and arterial segmental exams. Adheres to AdventHealth's Corporate Compliance Plan, rules and regulations of all local, state and federal agencies, and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Accesses available patient information pertaining to the exam ordered, for exam appropriateness, confirmation of patient identity, correlation of diagnostic reports and new symptoms.
• Performs Cardiac studies (Echocardiograms, Stress Echocardiograms and Dobutamine Echo
• Performs Vascular studies (Arterial, Venous, Carotid, Renal Artery, Abdominal Aorta and ABI's)
• Prepares preliminary reports and communicates pertinent information to Physicians about abnormal findings.
• Operates and calibrates equipment effectively, safely, and efficiently. Reports malfunctions, supply shortages to immediate supervisor or Director.

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

• Associate (Cardiovascular Technology, Ultrasound Technology, Respiratory Care, Nursing, Radiology, Nuclear Medicine Technology) or equivalent certification Required
• 1 years experience Required
• 1 of experience in echocardiography and/or vascular technology Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required or
• CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation Required
• CCI - Cardiovascular Credentialing Internation Required
