BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN

Behavior TechnicianAs a Behavior Technician you will be responsible for implementing effective treatment plans to consumers in an individual or group setting.Responsibilities:Implement individual Behavioral plansImplement consumer lessons and addressing consumer goalsCollect data and complete consumer graphing of behaviorsResponsible for the organization and upkeep of consumer bindersOrganize and maintain the cleaning of classrooms and common social areasResponsible for facilitating learning and growth opportunities for consumers with peersDrive or aide in assisting consumers to and from the facility when neededMust be willing to work with consumers who engage in challenging behavior that may include but is not limited to aggressive, biting, throwing, self-injurious behavior, and self-stimulatory behaviorComplete other duties as assignedQualifications:Must be 18 years of ageHigh School Diploma2+ years direct working experience with Applied Behavior Analyst Therapy preferredCompassionate and caring demeanorAbility to build rapport with clientsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge and direct working experience counseling or social workRBT or BCAT certification preferredPhysical/Mental Requirements:Must be able to handle a high level of stressMust be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbsMust be able to sit or stand for long periods of timeMust be able to stoop, bend, or kneel repetitively
