## Designer, DenimApplylocations: Corporate Office - HQtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R000031555**Location:**Secaucus, New Jersey## ## **Job Summary:**The Designer will oversee the design process from conception to final prototype for denim across all TCP/GYM divs and ages and is fully responsible for entire product design to include market research, designing, sketching, wash development, specing, and fit. The Designer will build effective collaborative relationships and maintain the unique look, integrity, and vision of the brand.## **Responsibilities:**## **Key Accountabilities:**## • Research competitive markets to identify new trends, fabrics, and techniques## • Ensure that the product is consistent with market trends while maintaining the brand identity and business strategy## • Concept and execute silhouette, wash, fit, and styling directions## • Sketch and color assigned categories in Illustrator## • Ensure that production/sampling packages are accurate and complete## • Partner with Merchandising Team to set seasonal framework and ensure creative ideas and business goals are aligned## • Set seasonal fabric, wash and trim direction, working with Product Development, Production and R&D Teams regarding QA results and development issues.## • Set direction of fit and final approval of fit by collaborating with Technical Design## • Maintain daily communication with Merchandising, Product Development, Production, and Technical Design Teams regarding development issues## • Adhere to cross-functional calendar and attends all meetings as required## • Provide a positive, challenging work environment## • Able to travel Globally to oversee sample making /wash process as needed## ## **Education and Experience:*** ## Bachelor’s degree in design or related field* ## 3+ years of experience in denim design and wash development- Boys and Kids experience a plus* ## Knowledge of denim fabrications and constructions* ## Knowledge of denim processing and wash## ## **Skills & Behaviors:*** ## Ability to design around concepts* ## Thorough knowledge of fabrications, silhouettes, color ways, construction techniques, and trim* ## Highly organized with effective communication skills* ## Must be able to work towards multiple deadlines with shifting priorities* ## Proficient in Adobe Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design**Hourly/Salary**$50,000.00 - $125,000.00 Salaryo Benefits include: Bonus eligible (depending on role), Paid Time Off, Employee Discount, 401(k) and company match, Wellness Reimbursement, Adoption Assistance, free backup care (for kids, pets & the elderly), choice of health insurance plans, company-paid life/AD&D, short and long term disability, a variety of voluntary benefits and an employee assistance program.
