A psychiatric hospital in Williamsburg, VA, is seeking a temporary Staff Pharmacist to support their pharmaceutical needs. This contract role is ideal for a licensed pharmacist with hospital experience who can assist while the facility searches for a permanent hire. The position offers a Monday-Friday, 40-hour workweek with additional shifts available as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform medication order entry and verification with accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage automated dispensing machines to ensure proper medication distribution.
- Communicate effectively with hospital administrators, physicians, and nursing staff to maintain optimal patient care.
- Support inpatient pharmacy operations within a psychiatric hospital setting.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Virginia pharmacist license required.
- Some experience in a hospital or inpatient pharmacy preferred.
- Proficiency in data order entry and verification systems.
- Familiarity with automated dispensing technologies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

- Williamsburg, VA
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- Additional shifts as needed to cover open schedules
