Banking Associate - Montville (20) Bilingual Preferred Mandarin Work Location: Montville, New Jersey, United States of America Hours: 20 Pay: $23.75 - $31.00 USD Job Description The Banking Associate is a professional in banking, responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals at a TD store location. Line of Business Personal & Commercial Banking Responsibilities Performs a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a store location; including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts and educating customers on all banking products and services Delivers end-to-end advice, building trust with educational content & tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights & recommendations Utilizes TD's systems and tools to engage with customers to acquire and deepen relationships by providing advice and guidance to attract and retain customers Understands customers' financial needs to identify opportunities to promote and educate on products, services or refer to appropriate team member or bank partner, ensuring positive customer experience Accurately completes everyday banking transactions on the teller line or platform while uncovering customer financial needs and educating on products, services and tools or referring to the appropriate expert Services customers on both teller line and platform as needed, including open/close personal deposit accounts, everyday bank transactions, debit/credit card issues, regulation E, mobile and online banking Connects with customers, provides financial advice, deepens relationships through lead management activities (self-generated leads, partner/retail referral leads or campaign leads, outbound calls, SMS, appointments) Customer Accountabilities Consistently provides legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating and referring TD Products Establishes and nurtures customer relationships by consistently displaying product knowledge, actively listening to needs and offering solutions or referrals Manages wait times to meet a banker by scheduling, rescheduling or canceling client meetings Engages in lobby leadership and represents first point of contact for customer inquiries, orchestrating walk‑in traffic and resolving issues or scheduling appointments Understands and supports the bank's customer service strategy Drives referrals to store colleagues and partners to support broader and more complex financial needs Ensures tasks are performed within established policy and procedure Complies with internal/external audit and regulatory requirements, maintains records of action plans Is knowledgeable of and complies with TD Code of Conduct Shareholder Accountabilities Ensures compliance when completing operational activities per company guidelines and regulations such as Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act Accurately processes cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions and other account servicing requests Decides and processes everyday transactions (opening/closing accounts, servicing, depositing checks, reordering debit cards, updating addresses) Ensures compliance with all regulations, policies and procedures, including required controls and critical dates Applies customer authentication principles, compliance regulations and due diligence to new account openings and transactions Accurately and efficiently performs cash drawer operations, maintains cash limits and secures cash drawer/station/balances Follows policy for Customer Authentication Acts as Dual Control agent when required Follows all required open/close procedures Employee/Team Accountabilities Contributes to a positive work environment, aligned to TD Model, Brand and Culture Participates fully as a member of the team Active participant in personal performance and development activities Acts as a brand champion internally and externally Collaborates with team members to succeed the team and organization Partners as a team player Seeks opportunities to improve delivery of work with high quality standards Seeks continuous development and enhances skills Positively embraces change Adheres to TD's Shared Commitments Models quality service at every customer interaction Engages in inclusive culture and supports diversity agenda Train and mentor newer colleagues Education & Experience High school diploma or GED 1 year experience working with customers in any capacity (volunteering, education, military) Demonstrated Customer Service skills Ability to work during operating hours including evenings, weekends, holidays as scheduled Teller experience preferred Required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire Strong organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment Excellent communication skills Effective problem solving skills Ability to schedule and prioritize work Work independently within deadlines Sound judgment in decision making and problem solving Proficient in Microsoft Office Notary License preferred Physical Requirements Physical Requirements: Never: 0%;
