Equipment Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Equipment Maintenance TechnicianResponsibilities:- Preventative & Corrective Maintenance: Perform maintenance on cell manufacturing equipment such as coating, calendaring, slitting, stacking, welding, and formation.Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on automated production lines to ensure continuous operation.New Equipment Installation: Assist in the installation, commissioning, and setup of new equipment to ensure smooth integration into production processes.Calibration: Calibrate sensors and instruments based on operational procedures to maintain accuracy and efficiency.Collaboration with Engineers: Work closely with engineers to identify opportunities for equipment improvements, upgrades, and modifications.Technical Readings: Interpret and analyze technical manuals, schematics, and equipment drawings to support maintenance and repairs.CMMS Documentation: Record and update maintenance activities and actions in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for accurate tracking.Alarm & Breakdown Response: Respond to equipment alarms or breakdowns promptly to minimize production delays and ensure minimal downtime.Safety Protocol Compliance: Adhere to and ensure compliance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain a safe working environment.Qualifications:Required:High school diploma or GED.2+ years of hands-on experience in equipment maintenance or a similar technical field.Working knowledge of industrial automation systems, including motors, drives, sensors, and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics and technical drawings.Preferred:Associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field.Experience working in battery cell manufacturing or high-volume automated production environments.Key Skills:Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills for resolving complex equipment issues.Attention to Detail: Ability to interpret technical documentation and ensure precision in calibrations and adjustments.Communication: Clear and effective communication skills to work with engineers and production teams.
