Job Description
TITLE
Emergency Room - Registered Nurse

SCHEDULE
- Shift: Nights
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/wk for 3x12; 48 hrs/wk for 4x12

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- State license: IL
- Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS (BLS), PALS, NIH (NIHSS)
- Preferred: CPI, TNCC
- Key clinical skills: airway management/intubation, ventilator care, continuous IV sedation, dysrhythmia recognition/management, procedural sedation monitoring, vascular access/IV starts, triage, trauma and code team participation

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide high-quality nursing care in an emergency room setting for a diverse patient population, including adults and pediatrics.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver organized and cohesive patient care.
- Manage emergency situations with timely and appropriate clinical interventions.
- Conduct triage assessments and determine patient acuity levels effectively.
- Document all care provided in compliance with facility policies and procedures.
- Participate in continuous education and training to maintain clinical competence.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- RTO: Max 7 days per 13-week contract (no RTO first week; additional RTO rules apply)
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Scrub color: Navy
- Fit testing: Facial hair must allow for proper fit testing (may be required to shave)
