Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN Infection Preventionist to join our team at Mohawk Meadows Rehab and Nursing Center. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of quality care and safety in our facility by implementing effective infection prevention strategies and promoting a culture of infection control excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct risk assessments and surveillance to identify and prevent healthcare-associated infections (HAIs)

• Develop, implement, and maintain infection prevention and control policies and procedures

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement evidence-based infection prevention strategies

• Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention and control measures

• Monitor and report on infection rates and trends to identify areas for improvement

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive infection prevention and control program, including auditing and surveillance

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and reduce HAIs

• Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and accreditation organizations

Requirements:

• Current licensure as a RN/LPN in the state of New Jersey

• Minimum 1 year of experience in infection prevention and control or related field

• Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control principles and practices

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
