Clinical Manager

Opportunity Knocks is a volunteer mental health program that provides outpatient services for individuals aged 18‑59 who have severe and persistent mental illness, a recent history of incarceration related to mental illness, and who are currently homeless or at risk of homelessness. The program offers intensive case management, psychotherapy, skill‑development groups, medication management, vocational linkage, temporary housing support, benefits processing, and outreach and engagement. About Your Role Oversee all aspects of the clinic’s clinical services. Consult regularly with supervisors to report on program performance and needs. Facilitate staff meetings and provide treatment team leadership. Deliver direct client care, including individual, family, and group therapy, discharge planning, and phone contacts with parents and referral sources. Coordinate with outside clinicians, medical director, and/or nurse regarding client treatment issues and medication evaluations. Complete required reporting, including Quality Assurance reports and utilization reviews. Audit client charts for accurate clinical documentation. Collaborate with the Program Director to establish clinical program content and service delivery. Provide consultation/education to community organizations, hospitals, and county departments. Participate in program development and manage difficult cases and psychiatric emergencies. Maintain HIPAA compliance and uphold ethical standards and professional boundaries. Adhere to the department budget and may assist in its development. Perform administrative functions as needed. Transport clients as required; use of a personal vehicle is necessary. Education and Licensing Requirements Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field, or a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology from an accredited institution. Must hold a valid LCSW, MFT, or licensing as a Clinical Psychologist; a two‑year license is preferred. Valid California driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and proof of education are required. Qualifications Minimum five years of experience in inpatient or outpatient mental health care, with at least two years of post-licensure experience. Experience in direct clinical practice, case management, group leadership, and rehabilitation philosophy. Strong clinical and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead teams; excellent written and verbal communication. Intermediate‑level PC proficiency. Excellent organizational and time‑management skills. First Aid Certification and acquaintance with Short Doyle are preferred.
