Operations Specialist

Job Description Job Description We are a family-owned company serving the automotive and industrial manufacturing industries since 1977! We are seeking an Operations Specialist to join our team! This position plays a critical role in supporting our supply chain by analyzing inventory, maintaining system data, coordinating purchasing and logistics activities, and helping ensure our operations run efficiently. Daily Tasks and Responsibilities: Analyze inventory levels, demand trends, and historical usage to support purchasing and replenishment decisions Create, maintain, and expedite purchase orders with domestic and international suppliers Monitor supplier lead times and communicate potential shortages or delays to internal teams Coordinate inbound shipments with suppliers and freight carriers to ensure timely delivery of inventory Analyze and maintain accurate inventory, purchasing, and supplier information within our AS400 ERP system Investigate inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis to improve inventory accuracy Assist with forecasting activities by reviewing inventory movement and demand patterns Partner across multiple departments to support day-to-day operational activities Support continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, improve data accuracy, and strengthen supply chain performance Qualifications : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to identify trends and make informed decisions using data Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments Previous experience in supply chain, purchasing, logistics, inventory management, manufacturing operations, or a related field (preferred, but will train) Experience with ERP systems (preferred, but will train) Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word Starting Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 annually, with flexibility based on experience and qualifications.
