BSA Compliance Officer

the client is seeking a BSA Compliance Officer to support the BSA Compliance Manager in fulfilling the bank’s BSA/AML/OFAC compliance program requirements. This role will help identify, monitor, control, and manage BSA compliance risk by maintaining strong knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and laws related to BSA. Key responsibilities include serving as a program administrator and in-house subject matter expert for OFAC monitoring software, supporting periodic review and testing of data integrity and system parameters (including updates, upgrades, testing, model monitoring, and training for BSA staff), and responding to OFAC escalations. The position also supports implementation of the AML/CFT Compliance Program, which may involve monitoring and implementation of established policies and procedures, providing training, and preparing periodic reports to management and the board on key BSA activity status. The role includes backup support for other compliance functions, including handling CTRs (including exempt CTR customers), SAR alerts, and SAR preparation as needed, as well as supporting high-risk customer due diligence (such as MSBs, NRAs, PEPs, and TPPPs) and reviewing or approving EDD reviews completed by analysts. The officer will provide oversight support for AML software as needed, make recommendations to improve operating procedures and reduce risk, promptly report known or suspected violations, and collect data and documentation for internal audit and regulatory examinations while complying with applicable policies and procedures.
