Inventory Management Associate

Job Description As a Procurement/Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for the maintenance and reconciliation of the Automated Inventory and Purchase Requisition System as well as Inventory Control. This includes planning, monitoring, and following up on open orders to ensure optimal inventory levels, assisting in the development and maintenance of departmental databases, and inputting packing slips to ensure timely invoice processing. As a Red Cross Team member, you will support your team members by showing up for every shift and giving 100% while you are there. You will interact in a positive, proactive, and customer‑focused manner with both internal and external customers, demonstrating care and compassion at all times. Key Responsibilities Maintain inventory control for materials to ensure optimal inventory levels and timely receipt of supplies and materials. Report inventory status and need management. Perform data entry of material requisitions and packing slips on the automated Purchasing and Inventory Systems for the region/division. Assist the Shared Services Center with invoice/shipping problem resolution of purchasing orders, interacting with regional staff regarding changes in purchase orders, returned goods, and invoicing problems. Track lot numbers for regulated materials and report status to appropriate staff. Maintain record‑retention system for regulated and non‑regulated procurement documents. Set up new files and maintain existing filing systems in the receiving area for regulated and non‑regulated documents. Assist in the development and maintenance of database files and reports. Resolve routing problems and forward more complex problems to management. Schedule Monday – Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Pay $19.00 – $20.00 per hour, based on experience. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree or equivalent related experience is required. Minimum 1 year of related experience; prior experience in materials management and data entry preferred. Requires aptitude to work with figures. Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interface with all levels of staff. Prior experience with personal computers, including Excel, Access, Word, or Oracle. Physical Requirements Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Available to work overtime, other shifts, early mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends. Requires standing, stretching, stooping, and bending for extended periods. Lift, pull, push, and move objects of up to 50 pounds. May work in walk‑in refrigerator/freezers for periods of time. Work under pressure and within time standards. Required to wear protective clothing such as lab coats, gloves, face shields, etc. when there is exposure to blood and blood products and/or where the work location requires.
