Director of Operations

The ideal candidate is a process driven and analytical leader. This role will be responsible for leading the company's day-to-day manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for manufacturing operations, ensuring the facility achieves safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives.
• Lead and develop a high-performing operations team, including production, maintenance, engineering, quality, warehousing and distribution.
• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with overall business objectives and customer requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, cost reduction, quality, and operational excellence.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance and drive accountability across the organization.
• Oversee production planning and scheduling to optimize capacity, labor, equipment, and inventory while meeting customer delivery requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, environmental regulations, and applicable industry requirements.
• Partner closely with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and other functions to ensure effective cross-functional execution.
• Manage operating budgets, labor costs, capital expenditures, and other financial resources to achieve business objectives.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, workflow, equipment utilization, and overall plant efficiency.
• Lead efforts to build a culture of accountability, teamwork, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate facility capacity, equipment needs, staffing requirements, and capital investments to support current and future business growth.
• Ensure consistent product quality and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions when issues arise.
• Develop succession plans and talent-development strategies to build organizational capability and strengthen the operations team.
• Lead change-management initiatives and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve operational performance.
• Communicate operational performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior leadership and provide recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related discipline
• 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
