Java Developer W/ AWS ExpOwings Mills, MD 21117 - Onsite from Nov or once office reopens! 6 MonthsThe primary responsibilities will include:Work with business partners, product owners, and technical analysts to prioritize the requirements and featuresPartner with architecture and technical team to determine the best technical solution to meet the business needs.Translate the business requirements into technical design.Make tactical vs. strategic trade-offs.Hands on development of new applications, as well as modernization of legacy applications.Design and build an AWS-based application suite for the Legal & Compliance Technology groupDesigns and develops practical APIs and abstractions.Implement and improve user-facing functionality for our business usersLeading code reviews and actively participates in providing feedback on others’ designs/codeUnit and system test the technology solutionsFacilitate move of the solutions to productionLead projects or work streams, provide technical leadershipCommunicate progress and status of the initiatives, identify dependencies, remove impedimentsBe accountable for your work and sometimes others, provide process and standards advice in your area of specializationServe as a resource and mentor for colleagues with less experienceRequirements:BA/BS degree in Computer Science/ Software Engineering8+ years of hands on programming experience with Java 8 and above.5+ years of hands on programming experience with Spring AOP and Spring boot.Fluent with database operations related to at least one database platform (Oracle/MySQL, SQL server preferred)Programming experience with AWS SDK and familiarity with popular AWS productsExperience in web design and front-end development using HTML, XHTML, CSS, Java ScriptsPreferred programming experience with Angular JavaScript framework and Bootstrap CSS frameworkPreferred exposure to Linux based development tool set.Develops data models or schemas from scratch and knows of key concepts such as ACID, Normalization, and Transactions5+ years leading software engineering teams, providing technical expertise.Git, CI/CD based SDLCCloud-based dev ops (AWS Lambda functions)Containerization (e.g. Docker)Proficiency in cloud technologies (AWS preferred)Shows dedication to quality by implementing suitable software using unit/integration and acceptance testing at the time of feature developmentStrong communicator (written, verbal), experience communicating with stakeholders at all levelsExperience in working on Agile teams and using agile tracking and process management tools, (e.g.
