Electrical Engineer

The Mosaic Company (NYSE: MOS) is hiring an Electrical Engineer to implement and execute asset integrity strategies at our Uncle Sam, LA Plant. The role provides technical expertise and leadership to monitor asset reliability, address issues hindering reliability, and deliver value toward overall site operational goals. Responsibilities Identify deficiencies in maintenance processes and develop sustainable improvement plans. Apply and optimize preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) activities to improve asset mean time between failures. Provide prioritized asset assessments that support the 5‑year capital planning process. Track site‑specific downtime, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Offer troubleshooting support to maintenance and operations and provide essential process knowledge for effective problem solving. Collaborate with maintenance planning teams to develop key field service maintenance scopes for regular maintenance, annual turnarounds, and to share best practices across sites. Deploy and execute asset strategies, monitor results, and continuously refine and improve asset health management. Assist with supervision of field service contractors and ensure follow‑up actions are tracked and completed. Conduct audits and inspections and review and authorize work permits and lock‑out/tag‑out plans. Coordinate power system study activities and complete minor updates to power system models. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required – major in Electrical Engineering. Engineer II: 2+ years of related electrical engineering experience. Engineer III: 4+ years of related electrical engineering experience. Senior Engineer: 8+ years of related electrical engineering experience. Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in multi‑team roles. Excellent written and communication skills; ability to influence and interface with all levels of management. Working familiarity with RCM and FMEA. Eligibility to register with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) for Canadian sites. Experience with high‑voltage switchgear (gas, air, and metal‑enclosed), transformers (oil‑filled and dry‑type), and other industrial electrical infrastructure. Knowledge of power system protection and coordination; experience with SEL and/or GE relaying and SCADA is an asset. Experience with underground mining power systems is an asset for potash sites. Experience with power system modeling software tools (EasyPower is an asset). Control system knowledge; experience with Rockwell, GE, or ABB PLCs and/or Delta‑V, ABB 800xA, or Yokogawa DCS is an asset. Knowledge and experience with instrumentation, field instrumentation, PLC, and DCS control systems; programming experience is an asset. Knowledge of National Electrical Code (U.S.) and Canadian Electrical Code; MSHA and CSA M421 safety knowledge for mining operations. Familiarity with predictive technologies (vibration, IR, UE, MCA, oil analysis). Facilitation experience with RCM and FMEA; development experience with PM procedures is an asset. Certifications such as CMRP, CRE, CRL, CSSBB are an asset. Proficiency in MS Office and CMMS (or similar) software. Benefits 401(k) with company match and annual contributions.
