492945 238 - Residence Life Staff: Administrator/Professional Full-Time On-site $110,000 - $115,000 Overview Having a love for Residence Life, the Director establishes a visionfor the residential experience that aligns with institutionalpriorities and ensures that residence life programs, services, andfacilities contribute meaningfully to student development andretention. Reporting to the Senior Associate Vice President andDean of Students, the director is responsible for the overalldirection of residence life, including professional staffleadership, residential education oversight, housing operations,and long-range planning for campus housing. This role workscollaboratively across the institution and with external partnersto advance a high-quality, student-centered residentialenvironment. Required Qualifications Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, communitydevelopment, business administration, or a closely relatedfield A minimum of 5-7 years of progressively more responsiblemanagement experience and demonstrated leadership Supervisory experience including hiring, training, andevaluating professional and/or paraprofessional staff Crisis response and on-call management experience Experience with student conduct processes Demonstrated experience with staff supervision, development,and mentoring Preferred Qualifications Experience with Maxient and Star Rez (or similar software) Demonstrated leadership in crisis management preferably in ahigher education setting Experience working at a public college/university Working Location This is an onsite position in Salem, MA with on-campus, in-personresponsibilities, which may require occasional work on evenings andweekends.
