Schedule: 25 hours/week | Rotating shifts
Business Hours: Monday–Sunday, 7:00AM – 1:00AM

SPS is seeking reliable, proactive, and guest-focused Shift Leads to support daily operations at The Rink at Rockefeller Center . This hands-on leadership role serves as an on-shift resource for team members and an extension of management, helping ensure every shift runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Lead by example and deliver warm, genuine hospitality
• Assist with training and coaching team members across Rink operations
• Support staff assignments, breaks, shift coverage, opening/closing, and daily operational readiness
• Monitor guest flow, safety, cleanliness, capacity, and service standards
• Provide direction and support to staff throughout the shift
• Resolve routine guest and operational issues and escalate when appropriate
• Communicate closely with the Manager on Duty and other team members
• Step into hospitality, ticketing, access control, skate rentals, retail, photography, wayfinding, crowd management, and other Rink functions as needed
• Anticipate needs and take initiative to keep operations running smoothly

What We're Looking For

• Previous lead, supervisory, hospitality, guest services, attraction, events, retail, or venue experience preferred
• Confident communicator who can provide clear direction and support to a team
• Proactive, dependable, organized, and solutions-oriented
• Strong judgment and ability to remain calm during high-volume periods
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly guest-facing environment
• Willing and able to work across all areas of Rink operations
• Weekend, holiday, early-morning, and late-night availability required
• Ice rink or skating experience is a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and carry as needed
• Ability to regularly lift up to 15 lbs.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in cold temperatures, rain, snow, and wind
• Comfortable working on or near the ice

Compensation: 
The expected compensation is an estimate, and the final offer will depend on skills, experience, location, and other job-related factors.
