Job Details Specialty: Emergency Room Nursing Role: Registered Nurse (ER RN) Setting: Emergency Department Assignment Length: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Hours Per Week: 36 Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910-$2,010 Start Date: 09/21/2026 Location: Lynchburg, VA 24501 Schedule Notes: Every other weekend required; orientation occurs every other Monday Job Requirements Active Virginia RN license or Compact RN license at time of submission Minimum of 3 years of recent emergency department nursing experience Experience in a similar-size ED with Level I or Level II trauma exposure Prior travel nursing experience required Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required Trauma certification such as ATCN, TNCC, or ATLC required CPI certification required before start Cerner experience strongly preferred All requested time off must be submitted with the application packet Responsibilities Provide skilled, compassionate nursing care in a busy emergency room environment Assess, triage, and prioritize patients with a wide range of acute and emergent conditions Respond confidently to emergency and trauma situations using sound clinical judgment Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support timely, effective treatment Monitor patients, document care accurately, and maintain safe nursing practices Adapt quickly to changing patient needs in a fast-paced clinical setting Why Consider This Virginia ER Nursing Job?
