The successful candidate will bring strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities, a proactive approach to preventive maintenance, and hands-on experience working with industrial systems, including pumps, gearboxes, valves, and other rotating equipment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex mechanical challenges and contributing to overall plant reliability and uptime.This is not an entry-level maintenance role. Candidates must be able to discuss their experience in detail and demonstrate strong mechanical knowledge gained in a manufacturing, industrial, military, or distribution environment.What You'll Be Doing:Performing preventive and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipmentTroubleshooting and repair mechanical equipment failures to minimize downtimeDiagnosing root causes of equipment breakdowns and implement corrective actionsRepairing, rebuilding, and replacing mechanical components as neededInspecting, maintaining, and servicing pumps, gearboxes, valves, conveyors, and related equipmentAssisting with electrical troubleshooting and minor electrical repairsPerforming pipefitting and equipment installation projectsMaintaining HVAC, lighting, water, sewer, and facility systemsCompleting maintenance work orders and documentation using CMMS systemsSupporting equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiativesMaintaining a safe, organized, and clean work environmentCollaborating with production, engineering, and operations teams to improve equipment performanceRequired Qualifications:Education: High school diploma or GEDWhat We Need to See:1 year of experience as a mechanic or technician in a manufacturing or distribution environmentHands-on experience with Industrial gearboxes and pumpsExperience troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, or maintaining equipmentTechnical Skills:Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial mechanical equipmentExperience using preventative maintenance programs and CMMS systemsStrong mechanical troubleshooting skillsPLC familiarity and exposureOther Requirements:Must be 18+ years of ageMust be authorized to work in the U.S. — no sponsorship available for this roleStrongly Preferred:2 + years of maintenance experience as a mechanic or technician in a manufacturing/distribution environmentHave industrial, electrical, and/or welding certification or license1 year of maintenance experience applying electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic concepts1 year work experience troubleshooting or programming PLCsElectrical knowledge, especially high-voltageExperience with:Liquid transfer systemsDiaphragm pumpsConveyersPump and valve maintenancePneumatic manufacturingMilitary Veterans & Military Spouses — You Belong HereBlue United Sourcing is a Veteran-Owned Small Business, and we actively recruit from the military community.
