This full-spectrum Sleep practice in a community offers rewarding opportunities, including interpreting diagnostic testing/labs and patient education, balanced with a rural-paced lifestyle. SAMC-Ontario is a Level IV Trauma Center with 50 beds, 4 operating suites, endoscopy, laparoscopic equipment, advanced imaging capabilities, and award-winning clinical services. Outreach opportunities are available. With increasing demand for sleep services, our program continues to develop a regional approach within the Saint Alphonsus Health System. The qualified Advanced Practice Provider will demonstrate comprehensive assessment skills, expert clinical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care. Specific duties include but are not limited to: follow-up evaluations for patients referred for Sleep consultation; following physician's plan of care; ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and labs; prescribing treatments; patient education; aiding in clinic phone triage and referrals; assisting with prescription refills and clinic coverage when other providers are unavailable. Requirements: Successful completion of NP or PA Graduate Program (Master's level) AANP or ANCC certification for Nurse Practitioners NCCPA certification for Physician Assistants Ability to obtain Idaho and Oregon medical licensure and valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho and Oregon Boards of Pharmacy and DEA Preferred: 2 years’ experience as a Sleep Medicine Provider Community: Located across from each other on the Snake River, where it forms the Idaho-Oregon border, Ontario, Oregon, and Fruitland, Idaho, serve as the retail, service, and medical centers for 70,000 people within a 20-mile radius. Interstate 84 and Oregon Highways 20/26, 30, and 201 pass through Ontario. Ontario/Fruitland is one hour from Boise, Idaho. The Boise Airport (BOI) is the main airport serving the region, offering daily flights to major cities. A local general aviation airport provides charter services and other FBO services.
