Event Manager - Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas

Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas is seeking an Event Manager to join our Catering and Events team. The role involves planning and executing conferences and events within our 12,000‑square‑foot meeting space across multiple venues. Responsibilities Maximize meeting and event sales revenue through upselling and cross‑selling of function items. Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to secure repeat and expanded business. Manage day‑to‑day operations of the events department and implement the selling strategy to attract meetings and events. Develop and mentor team members, fostering a culture of high-quality service, sales techniques and accurate contract processing. Administer and control all reservations, blocks and event details, ensuring accurate and timely communication of function sheets to F&B and operations. Meet with event contacts on the day to assess satisfaction and oversee room setup. Conduct show‑rounds for agents and companies in line with company policy. Collaborate with food & beverage operations and room reservations teams to provide necessary information. Support other properties within the cluster as business needs arise. Review business plans, identify gaps, and proactively fill capacity to meet targets. Contribute to the hotel’s selling strategy and ensure adherence to campaign goals. Prepare and forward invoices for events in accordance with quotations and credit policy. Analyze the competitive marketplace and propose strategies to maintain market leadership. Qualifications Strong ability to develop positive working relationships at all levels. Exemplary personal presentation and professional demeanor. Proven customer service experience and a demonstrated ability to close sales. Experience in event planning and a working knowledge of C & E business.
