Full Stack Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX.
• Create applications that improve SpaceX operations.
• Build prototypes to validate design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
• Own software engineering and product development across the lifecycle.
• Analyze user problems and create efficient solutions.
• Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a scientific discipline, or at least 2 years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 1 year of full-stack development experience.
• Preferred experience with Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or a similar object-oriented language.
• Preferred experience building single-page web applications and working with version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
• Preferred expertise in software system design, testing, build, deployment, monitoring, profiling, and performance improvement.
• Preferred experience with build systems, package management, UNIX-like systems, infrastructure-management tools, streaming data processing, Docker, Kubernetes, front-end frameworks, and databases.
• Must meet applicable ITAR work authorization requirements or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations.
• Must be willing to work onsite; remote and hybrid work are not considered, and extended hours or weekends may be required based on launch cadence.

Benefits

• Base salary ranges from $125,000 to $160,000 for Level 1 and $145,000 to $195,000 for Level 2.
