They monitor and respond to customer inquiries. They track, trace, enter, and update shipments.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Answer incoming calls and provide excellent customer service to all callersMonitor and respond to customer inquiries received through emailMake outgoing calls to follow up on shipment status, resolve issues, and update customersTrack, trace, enter, and update shipmentsAssist and support Maersk stations and cartage agentsMaster outside customer applicationsFollow published procedures and work instructions for NCS accounts and bring modifications to management's attentionPerform other duties as assignedSKILLS/COMPETENCIES:Excellent oral and written communication and problem-solving skillsTechnological aptitude using the internet and online tools such as MS ExcelAbility to multitaskExcellent organizational skills with emphasis on detailEDUCATION:High School or betterEXPERIENCE:1 year of customer service experiencePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:This is a clerical administrative position in a professional office setting. The employee is frequently required to sit. Occasionally stand, walk, use hands, stoop, bend, and reach. Extensive use of a phone and a PC is required.
