Material Supervisor

Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Material Supervisor for our client based out of Macungie, PA.

This assignment is anticipated to be a 12-month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment.

This position is expected to support a 2nd shift schedule (approximately 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM).

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and support for warehouse and material handling personnel.
• Oversee inventory control, material flow, and warehouse operations while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met.
• Lead teams with 10+ employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Monitor workforce performance and support employee development through training, mentoring, and accountability.
• Coordinate material availability and inventory accuracy to support production operations.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tools to track materials and workflow.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to address operational challenges and improve processes.
• Create and maintain reports using Excel and other operational systems.

Experience:

• 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Experience managing teams of 5+ employees.
• Previous experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, materials, or manufacturing environments.
• Experience utilizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or inventory management software.
• Strong leadership, communication, and employee development skills.
• Ability to coach, train, and motivate teams in a production-driven environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Associate's degree preferred, but not required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting material flow, inventory accuracy, and warehouse operations is highly preferred.
