Good debugging skills through logging tool such as splunk or Kibana or through command line. This is really good to have in case something breaks (chances are high bc it’s a new system), his team should be able to find out with component broke.

Lead / Mentoring experience – need someone to have the skills that a program manager would to take care of the distribution of work to the team.

Knowledge of JIRA tool in order to raise/track tickets.

Basic knowledge of Db commands enough to retrieve information

Basic knowledge of messaging queues such as Active or Rabbit MQ and kafka

Basic knowledge of cloud technology such as AWS and containerization will be an add on

Knowledge of networking including packet captures, DHCP, ports and layers of OSI model (networking certification is not mandatory)

Plus: Automation. They aren’t doing any now but will down the road.

Required Skills: MUST HAVE: ANY Networking knowledge (DHCP, ports and layers, routers, modems, wireless, wifi, cable, etc.) 2+ years of manual testing
