Material Handler

Talascend is currently seeking a Material Handler for a contract opportunity with our client in Sterling, Virginia . Overview This role involves performing a wide array of warehousing tasks at a production and integration facility supporting Department of Defense customers. Responsibilities include receiving, inspecting, inventorying, and handling materials to ensure smooth warehouse operations. Responsibilities Stock inventoried materials on shelves Pick materials for production orders and deliver to assigned points of contact Perform cycle counts and assist in reconciling discrepancies Package and ship products Assist with other warehousing tasks as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for prolonged periods, and climb ladders Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel Strong communication and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education Preferred Qualifications Experience in a hardware production environment Familiarity with MRP systems, preferably Costpoint Understanding of ISO, Quality Assurance, and Configuration Management practices Knowledge of Electrostatic Display (ESD) and materials protection Background Check and Drug Screen may be required.
