Delivers an accurate planned course of radiotherapy while keeping accurate treatment records. Provides patient care and exercises professional judgment in treatment delivery. Applies radiation protection principle known as ALARA. Participates in the departmental QA program and patient follow-up. Duties & Responsibilities Delivers planned course of radiotherapy accurately. Apply principles of basic radiation physics, radiation interaction and radiation protection. Verify physician prescribed course of radiation therapy. Operate therapeutic equipment and maintain patient records. Practice aseptic techniques when necessary. Observe clinical progress of patients and report any signs of complications to the radiation oncology nurse. Assist oncologist as needed. Qualifications Currently certified by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association. ARRT Radiation Therapy Certification. Benefits Medical Insurance & Wellness Offerings.
