About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years in high acuity and high pace environment; 5 years of high-risk experience preferred License: Current compact license required Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS preferred, AWHONN Advanced and Intermediate preferred Must-Have: Must have current supervisory references Must have proof of required certifications Must pass clinical review Candidates must have experience circulating and providing newborn care, including administration of Vitamin K injections Description: This position requires significant experience in a high-risk, high-volume labor and delivery environment. Candidates will be responsible for providing care during deliveries and continuing care for the newborn until transfer to postpartum. Experience with electronic fetal monitoring is essential. Candidates must be able to float to postpartum and antepartum as needed. All staff must adhere to AWHONN guidelines for staffing. Postpartum care, antenatal care, and assisting in high-risk deliveries are key responsibilities. Work requires participation in weekend rotations and holiday shifts as needed. Candidates should be proficient in newborn assessments and must administer necessary treatments. Knowledge and ability to handle complex obstetric cases is critical for this position. Candidates will be expected to maintain effective communication with interdisciplinary teams during care delivery. Flexibility with scheduling is necessary to meet unit needs. This position demands strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. All candidates must provide two references covering one year of experience within the last three years.
