Assistant Financial Controller (Hybrid)

Innovative Driven is currently seeking an Assistant Controller to join a collaborative team at one of our most prestigious law firm clients!

This full-time and hybrid (3-4 days in office and the rest remote) in the Summit, NJ office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Creating structure where needed and helping improve systems and processes across the department.
• The Assistant Controller will play a critical role in the day-to-day financial operations of the Firm, including billing, accounts payable/receivable, reporting and operational support.
• Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including collections oversight, vendor payments, disbursements, and expense reimbursements.
• Monitor firm bank accounts and financial activity, ensuring proper financial recordkeeping and reporting.
• Facilitate payroll processing and commission tracking in coordination with external providers as needed.
• Provide financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to firm leadership to support operational planning and decision-making

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in billing, bookkeeping, accounting support or finance operations (law firm/professional services experience strongly preferred).
• Proficiency in QuickBooks; experience with legal billing systems strongly preferred.
