Senior Policy Analyst

The Senior Policy Analyst is a highly collaborative, execution-focused professional responsible for coordinating committee activities, managing stakeholder communications, facilitating meetings, and driving follow-through on action items and policy initiatives. This role will serve as a key point of contact for internal teams and external committee members, ensuring that meetings are well-organized, materials are prepared in advance, and outcomes are documented and tracked. Key Responsibilities Committee Management & Coordination Support the planning, coordination, and execution of REBNY committee meetings, including scheduling, agenda development, and material preparation Serve as a primary administrative and operational liaison for committee members, ensuring timely communication and responsiveness Draft and distribute meeting agendas, briefing materials, and follow-up summaries in a clear and organized format Track committee action items, assignments, and deadlines to ensure accountability and timely completion Maintain and update committee membership lists, contact information, and distribution lists Meeting & Stakeholder Support Coordinate logistics for meetings, including calendar holds, materials distribution, and virtual or in-person arrangements Prepare briefing memos, talking points, and background materials to support the members of the Public Policy team and other members of senor staff Attend committee meetings and internal planning meetings; document discussions, decisions, and next steps Support cross-functional coordination with External Relations and other internal teams as needed Policy & Project Support Conduct targeted research and assist in the development of policy summaries, issue briefs, and internal documents Support the preparation of presentations, testimony, and member communications under direction from senior staff Assist in tracking policy developments and committee priorities across relevant issue areas Operational & Administrative Support Develop and maintain trackers (e.g., Excel-based) to monitor projects, committee workflows, and deliverables Ensure consistency in document management, version control, and recordkeeping for committee materials Identify opportunities to improve internal processes related to committee operations and information flow Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree required; 1–3 years of relevant experience in policy, government, real estate, or a related field preferred Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and professional materials for external audiences Experience coordinating meetings, managing stakeholder relationships, or supporting committees is strongly preferred High attention to detail and ability to track and follow up on multiple action items and deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with tracking tools and document management systems preferred Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Preferred Attributes Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and communications Professional demeanor and ability to interact with senior-level stakeholders and industry members Ability to synthesize information into clear, concise formats (agendas, summaries, trackers) Self-starter with strong time management and follow-through A writing sample, references, and/or a short exercise may be required as part of the hiring process.
