As a Maintenance Technician you will also have the opportunity to get to know our residents on a personal level.In This Role You Will:Performs functions to maintain the community's buildings and grounds in good condition throughout the year.Completes work order requisitions as assigned by performing corrective and preventative maintenance dutiesDocuments resolutions accurately and closes work orders promptly upon completion.Evaluates and troubleshoots problems with equipment and systems such as; plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and other systems in buildings throughout the community and in accordance with the technician's scope of expertise, education and/or trainingAssists contractors with their work, at the direction of the supervisorPerforms renovation and turnover maintenance, including cleaning, patching, scraping, painting, to ensure units are completed on schedule and in accordance with resident's selectionsReplaces HVAC filters, light bulbs, services water softeners and performs all other necessary repairs and/or maintenance to the building, equipment, and furnishingsInstalls appliances and other equipment, hangs pictures and assembles and/or disassembles equipment and furnishingsPerforms all other duties as assignedShift Details: Monday through Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm with a weekend rotationWho You Are:Detail oriented individual with a 1-3 years general maintenance experience with plumbing and/or electrical experienceHVAC Certification requiredPhysically capable of labor that requires bending, twisting, stretching, pushing, pulling, and lifting and carrying objectsA strong work ethic and commitment to safetyA team-player attitude and a desire to make a differenceHoosier Village is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
