The job will also require the ability to assist in building a pipeline of public and private clients. Avenew's VP of Construction can evaluate costs associated with projects including materials, labor, and time expended and provide efficient solutions. Evaluating emerging infrastructure, transportation, and construction trends is also necessary.Essential FunctionsProfessional leadership as senior leader and representative of Avenew and helping build a positive Avenew cultureLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of project managers and construction professionalsSet and execute the strategic direction for construction project delivery across the portfolioManage departmental P&L, project budgets, and portfolio-level performance metricsMaintain open lines of communication and positive relationships with clientsProvide business development support to AvenewProvide technical support to consultants, contractors, and subcontractorsDrive continuous improvement of construction practices, tools, standards, and delivery methodsEvaluate and apply emerging infrastructure, transportation, and construction trends to Avenew's workNegotiates contracts with vendors and clients to ensure the most cost-effective means of reaching the client's needsAdditional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.Education QualificationsRequired Bachelor's Degree Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field Preferred Master's Degree Experience Qualifications 15+ years Construction management experience 5+ years Senior leadership role overseeing multiple project managers and concurrent projects Skills and AbilitiesA relentlessly positive attitude!
