Job Title: Certified Phlebotomist
Location: Lake Success, NY 11042
Shift: Monday – Saturday (5 days/week) | 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM (varied shifts)
Contract Duration: 3 months with a strong possibility of further extension
Pay Rate: $20-24/hr.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform routine phlebotomy procedures (adult & pediatric)

· Collect blood samples via venipuncture and finger stick

· Verify patient identity using two identifiers

· Navigate Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) with accuracy

· Maintain productivity of 4–6 patients per hour

· Adhere to infection control and safety protocols (PPE, aseptic technique, hand hygiene)

· Properly handle and dispose of biohazard materials

· Troubleshoot LIS issues and coordinate with support teams

· Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and lab staff

· Travel to multiple draw stations as needed

 

Required Qualifications:

· Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience

· Experience with both adult and pediatric collections

 

Required Certification:

· Phlebotomy Certification (required)

 

Additional Requirements:

· Weekly travel between sites (not within the same shift)
