Material Handling Forklift Operator — Logistics Warehouse

1st Shift

Position Summary: The Material Handling Forklift Operator is responsible for safely moving, loading, unloading, and organizing materials throughout a high-volume logistics warehouse. This role helps keep inventory flowing efficiently and accurately from receiving to storage to outbound shipping.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklift and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Load and unload inbound and outbound freight
• Move pallets, products, and materials to designated locations
• Receive, stage, and organize inventory
• Inspect loads for accuracy and damage
• Follow warehouse safety procedures and traffic rules
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory checks as needed
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas
• Perform daily equipment checks and report maintenance issues

Requirements:

• Prior forklift or material-handling experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Strong attention to detail and safety
• Ability to lift, stand, bend, and move throughout shift
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Basic communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Forklift certification
• Experience in logistics, distribution, or warehouse operations
• Experience with pallets, scanners, and inventory systems

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and operating equipment
• Ability to work indoors in warehouse conditions
