ARMS Staffing

Registered Nurse (RN) - Days - Rural Facility

Location: Rural New Hampshire, 2 hours from Boston, MA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts from 7 AM to 3 PM or 7 AM to 7 PM; must be willing to float to units where experienced.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) will observe residents continuously for changes in their mental and physical well-being, transcribe, and carry out physician's orders, administer medications, and maintain comprehensive medical documentation. The RN will supervise LNA staff and ensure that care provided is consistent with each resident's needs. The role involves direct patient care and administrative responsibilities, including reporting resident conditions and conducting rounds with physicians.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and report changes in residents' health status to supervisors and physicians.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, documenting all actions accurately.
  • Supervise and assist nursing staff in the provision of care to residents.
  • Perform wound care and manage specialized feeding procedures as required.
  • Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, and discharges ensuring all documentation is complete.
  • Maintain infection control practices and ensure a safe environment on the unit.
  • Facilitate communication with residents' families regarding care and updates.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

  • 3+ years of current nursing experience within the last 6 months (required).
  • Must be willing to float to various units as needed (required).
  • IV certification (must obtain during onboarding if not certified) (required).
  • Active New Hampshire RN license (required).
  • BLS certification (AHA) (required).
  • COVID-19 vaccination required; declinations/exemptions not accepted (required).
  • Previous travel nursing experience and rural facility experience highly preferred.
