Handyman

The Handyman is responsible for the general maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the firm's buildings and property. This role performs routine maintenance tasks, responds to facility repair needs, and helps ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for employees and visitors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform general building maintenance and repairs, including painting, minor carpentry, drywall, and basic plumbing and electrical work.
  • Maintain the interior and exterior of firm facilities, including offices, common areas, and parking lots.
  • Complete routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and address issues in a timely manner.
  • Assemble, install, move, and repair office furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies in a safe and organized manner.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Perform other facility maintenance duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities, or a handyman role preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair techniques.
  • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including climbing ladders, bending, and standing for extended periods.
