Key Responsibilities Create and implement daily staffing plans for Production and Packaging. Train employees and ensure compliance with Safety practices, GMPs, and SOPs. Approve and manage employee vacation schedules and daily attendance reporting. Translate and execute the daily production schedule; ensure accurate batch preparation and customer labeling. Coordinate with Warehouse to ensure raw materials are staged for production. Implement food safety and quality procedures (e.g., HACCP) on the production floor. Maintain accurate documentation and training materials. Troubleshoot and resolve personnel and equipment issues in coordination with the Operations Manager. Ensure timely filter changes, product changeovers, sanitation prep, and equipment readiness. Schedule and communicate break times. Prepare daily production documentation. Assist Operations Manager in meeting WDA, FDA, and USDA compliance. Track attendance, timekeeping, and safety violations. Lead team to meet productivity, quality, and safety goals. Oversee employee training, maintain training records, and assist with performance reviews. Monitor adherence to safety practices and provide feedback, recognition, and disciplinary action when needed. Support performance management, employee relations, coaching, and development. Ensure compliance with all company policies related to food safety, quality, and health regulations. Report any issues that could compromise food safety. Experience And Requirements Minimum Qualifications Associate Degree in Supervisory Management, Manufacturing, or related field or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 7 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in food production, including supervisory responsibility. Working knowledge of HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and food safety regulations. Strong people leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Authorization to work in the United States. Desired Qualifications 3 years’ experience supervising a production workforce, with food companies, and ideally a cheese company preferred. Familiarity with food production equipment and sanitary equipment design. Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing an hourly workforce in a manufacturing or production environment. Experience addressing attendance, performance, and behavioral issues using consistent and fair disciplinary practices. Exposure to continuous improvement initiatives. Ability to lead through change, including schedule adjustments, process improvements, and shifting production priorities. Prior experience in multi‑shift manufacturing operations.
