Junior Software DeveloperWe are seeking a motivated Junior Software Developer to join our development team. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to grow their technical skills while contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable web-based applications. You will work in a collaborative, Agile/Scrum environment alongside experienced developers, gaining hands-on experience building modern software solutions and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of web-based applicationsDevelop and support RESTful and/or GraphQL APIsContribute to API documentation using tools such as Swagger/OpenAPITroubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance and reliabilityBuild backend services that integrate with databases and external systemsParticipate in code reviews and follow best practices for clean, maintainable codeSupport testing efforts, including unit and integration testingLearn and understand system architecture, workflows, and application functionalityDocument processes and contribute ideas for system improvements and scalabilityCollaborate with cross-functional team members in an Agile development environmentJob Requirements:Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or in progress)Understanding of software development fundamentals and requirements gatheringExposure to full stack development technologies, including: HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS.NET framework SQL and database conceptsFamiliarity with Object-Oriented Design principlesBasic understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD)Ability to perform unit and integration testingExperience or interest in using AI tools to support development and productivityStrong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environmentAbout Grand Rapids, MI:Ready to embark on an exciting career journey in the vibrant city of Grand Rapids, Michigan?
