Finance Systems Analyst

Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company focused on delivering novel therapeutics for metabolic dysfunction‑associated steatohepatitis (MASH). The company’s lead medication, Rezdiffra, is approved in the U.S. and EU for the treatment of MASH with moderate to advanced fibrosis. Key Responsibilities Design, administer, and optimize enterprise financial systems, serving as a liaison between Finance and other corporate functions. Plan and execute finance technology transformation initiatives, including implementation of new finance systems (ERP, EPM, financial reporting, audit, and AI projects). Oversee administration of NetSuite, Coupa, Concur, and Workiva, managing upgrades, patches, workflows, and user access in collaboration with IT. Ensure data accuracy and integrity through reconciliations and SOX‑compliant controls. Assist internal adoption efforts by creating process documentation, leading training, and enabling new or enhanced processes. Act as liaison between Finance and cross‑functional business units to coordinate projects and support system enhancements. Represent finance on enterprise AI and automation initiatives. Ensure SOX design, testing, and documentation of software and systems complies with internal controls. Assist in design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of internal controls for finance software and systems. Support audit documentation for finance systems and evolve Madrigal’s IT general control environment. Provide system user support, troubleshooting, and prioritization of implementation and system issues. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. 2–3+ years of experience in finance operations with a focus on technology implementation, process improvement, and audit/SOX compliance. Strong expertise with Coupa and NetSuite (or equivalent ERP). Strong analytical skills and ability to drive process improvements and automation. Strong understanding of GAAP and SOX compliance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate across teams. Demonstrated project management and process mapping or flow‑charting experience. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities. Ability to triage implementation/system issues and prioritize based on severity and impact. Strong ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality of sensitive financial information. Proficiency working independently and knowing when to escalade an issue. Pay and Benefits Base salary range: $78,730 – $96,494 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and market.
