Patient Care Technician

Provide care to patients on assigned unit under the direction of a Registered Nurse Perform tasks such as vital signs monitoring, 12-Lead EKGs, bladder ultrasounds, blood glucose checks, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal, specimen collection, and assisting with bathing, feeding, turning, and ambulating patients Assist with patient admissions, preparation for discharge, and implementing patient-specific care plans Maintain hourly rounding, assist with safety protocols, and provide emotional support to patients Ensure a safe environment for patients and deliver a positive, high-quality experience Skills and Qualifications Current CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program or at least one nursing clinical rotation is preferred 1+ year of relevant experience in a medical office is required Must have basic computer proficiency for charting and patient documentation Relevant soft skills include interpersonal skills, prioritization, collaboration, and ability to follow directions #J-18808-Ljbffr Skills for Chicago
