Sous / Executive Sous Chef - Uchi Nashville (Train with Us!)

Job Overview Hai Hospitality (Uchi, Uchiko, and Uchiba) is hiring an experienced Sous / Executive Sous Chef. This role is available in multiple markets for temporary relocation with lodging included. Preferred training location is Austin, TX, with additional options in Houston, Dallas, Miami, Denver, Scottsdale, and West Hollywood. Responsibilities Motivate, mentor, and develop a culinary team of cooks and chefs. Maintain overall culinary standards in a high‑volume, scratch‑based kitchen. Float through all kitchen stations and assist as needed. Prepare high‑quality dishes in a modern kitchen. Handle ordering, scheduling, inventory, and other administrative duties. Qualifications Proven experience managing high‑volume kitchen operations. Passion for good food and creating innovative hospitality experiences. Proficiency in providing constructive feedback. Enthusiastic and celebratory of team successes. Strong work ethic and ability to work in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in hot and cold temperatures. Ability to use kitchen equipment safely and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
