Pleasantdale School District 107 Instructional Aide Job Description Full-time with medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits Must hold State of Illinois Licensure for Paraprofessional $20.55 per hour, 6.75 hours a dayplus The following activities are functions of an Instructional Aide. The level of involvement for the each activity will vary with the needs of the student(s). These activities are included in the Instructional Aide Evaluation form. Instructional Aide duties include but are not limited to: Demonstrates understanding of the District Mission Understands the importance of team problem solving and collaboration within the school setting by establishing positive working relationships with team members Maintains regular attendance and punctuality Observes and complies with school policies and procedures and classroom schedules and routines Follows teacher-directed lesson plans and implement learning tasks Takes initiative to complete tasks as needed throughout the school day Communicate concerns and/ or ideas in an appropriate manner Understands and demonstrates the utilization of different types of data collection procedures for measuring student progress and behavior Encourages independent student participation by providing support to function as independently as possible. Maintains student/classroom confidentiality in all settings Demonstrates the ability to maintain control of student behavior in individual, small and large group settings and uses appropriate forms of reinforce to manage student behaviors Demonstrates the ability to problem-solve and initiate actions to ensure the safety of all students Cleans up after classroom activities and returns equipment that needs repairs Demonstrates positive regard for students through verbal/non-verbal communication and behavior through words and actions Encourages the use of student mode of communication, including various communication strategies #J-18808-Ljbffr Pleasantdale School District #107
