Maintenance TechThe Maintenance Tech is responsible for the execution of the facility's preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for the entire plant facility and equipment with minimal unscheduled downtime.Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance service.Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.Perform maintenance, including, but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting, and repair of work orders to perform required maintenance and serviceComply with OSHA Safety and Health rulesMachines, while keeping a strong focus on safety and housekeeping. The job is not finished until cleanup is done.Read and interpret equipment manualsDiagnose causes of malfunctions by sight, sound, or actions of the machineInspect, adjust, clean, or lubricate equipment as preventive maintenanceTear down, replace, repair, install, and assemble equipment parts, components, and accessoriesAssist other maintenance employees with repairs and housekeeping as neededSupport electrical maintenance as neededOther duties, as assignedEducation and Experience Required:Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtimeHigh school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution and one of the following: Two-year associate degree or higher in technical field(mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, electro-mechanical, controls and automation, etc.)Completed apprenticeship in mechanics, mechanical maintenance, or electromechanical, electrical, or related fieldMilitary training and experience in a relevant Military Occupational Specialty (MOS)2+ years hands-on experience in a mechanic, maintenance, electrical, electromechanical, controls and automation, or related rolePreferred Education, Experience, and Skills:Previous experience reading blueprints and schematicsPrevious experience with MIG, TIG, and stick weldingPrevious experience with power transmission components; belt drives, chain drives, bearings, motors & gearsPrevious experience with drill presses & lathesExperience with the operation and maintenance of forklifts, scissor lifts, and articulated liftsPhysical Requirements: Qualified applicants must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:Must be able to lift up-to 34 pounds for 6+ hours per shiftMust be able to lift up-to 50 pounds for 3+ hours per shiftMust be able to sit, climb and work off ladder, and operate foot pedals for 3+ hours per shiftMust be able to work in a dusty and cold environment for 3+ hours per shiftMust be able to work in high heat and humidity for 6+ hours per shiftMust be able to balance, bend, crouch, kneel, stoop, walk, and reach above shoulders for 6+ hours per shiftMust be able to perform simple grasping, push, pull, and perform fine manipulation for 6+ hours per shiftMust be able to stand for 8+ hours per shiftMust be able to operate foot pedals for 4+ hours per shiftMust be able to make fine distinctions in sound, express and exchange written or spoken words, and distinguish objects and equipment visually
