Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Certified Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Asheville, NC. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a high-acuity CVOR environment, supporting surgical procedures and ensuring patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver comprehensive perioperative care to cardiovascular surgery patients.
• Assist with preoperative preparations, including patient assessment and equipment setup.
• Perform intraoperative tasks such as assisting with arterial lines, central lines, and epidural placements.
• Monitor patient vitals and manage emergency situations using advanced critical thinking skills.
• Document patient information accurately in the Cerner system and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Support patient transport to the OR, assist with induction, intubation, positioning, and skin prep.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with a minimum of 2+ years of recent CVOR experience.
• Be certified in BLS and ACLS.
• Demonstrate excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Possess the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Have experience with GE Carescape Monitoring and Fuji ultrasound equipment.
• Be capable of floating within scope of practice as needed.
